Artist Statement

This series stems from the use of handcrafted clothing by a close friend who recycled old materials to bring them back to life in a sleek, modern fashion. These images both contrast and connect with each other, where the contemporary meets time, when design meets weathered architecture, and when light meets shadow. Both the fabric and structures will continue to be worn and tested against time, as will these young men.

Designer Statement

I’m a designer from a small town in northern Michigan. I grew up in clothes that were worn often, and then repaired. That mindset shapes everything I make. I focus on functional American heritage menswear and bring together the practicality of outdoor gear with the craft and intention of high fashion. My clothes are built to be worn, lived in, and shaped by the person who uses them. I want each piece to feel honest, useful, and rooted in the place I come from.
